Known for its smooth, lobed green leaves with purple veins and stems, Russian red cabbage can be enjoyed raw or cooked. Its leaves are the most tender and sweetest of all kale varieties and are often harvested when its leaves are smaller.
PLANT CARE
- Once the first leaves appear, choose the largest plant, remove the others by hand or cut them at the base with small scissors. (thinning) See the growing guide.
- Kale will reach full size after about 40 days.
- Cut individual leaves from the main stem starting at the bottom.
